Summer Vacation Begins This Week!

To all our wonderful readers everywhere:

The seventh graders begin their summer vacation May 30 after finals are over!

Next school year, this blog will be a sixth grade English blog! Please check back here the end of August as conversations begin. You are welcome to join us anytime as we write out loud.

To all my students:

Have a fabulous summer! Please drop a line on the blog to let us all know what you are up to. I’m happy to post any pictures, too.

See You In August!

We Choose The Moon

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Apollo’s lunar landing and those “first giant steps for mankind” on the moon. Please follow along as the space shuttle launches this week by visiting this amazing website  We Choose The Moon hosted by the John F. Kennedy Presidential Museum and Library. Here you can track the mission, listen to live transmissions, and even follow the mission on Twitter.
