What’s the coolest thing you have ever seen in a museum? Explain fully telling why this thing obviously has made an impression on you. Be sure to mention the name of the museum (Proper noun) and where the museum is located.
Which museum would you like to visit again and again if you had the opportunity to do so? Why?
Would you want to spend the night there …..like in the movie, Night in the Museum?
This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen…..probably will appeal more to girls than boys. Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House is a five foot working dollhouse with electric and water built for the young Mary and completed in 1924. If you ever go to England, take a side trip to Windsor Castle to see this dollhouse. The above link takes you to an interactive website, so take the time to explore all the rooms…..you will be amazed. I will bring in the book if anyone is interested in seeing it.
Well I remember once when I was 8 I went up on a trip to New York to visit my Aunt and Uncle. But another reason we went to New York was to visit the Natural History Museum. There was a bunch of cool and interesting things there but one thing I remember the most was a mini jungle in the middle of the room. It was awesome! The room was actually humid like a real jungle and they had exotic plants and animals(not real ones) spread out across the room. There were monkeys hanging from the walls and trees growing from in the middle of the room. This was an amazing memory of mine and it was by far the best thing I have ever seen in a museum. If I could return to one museum it would be the Natural History Museum again because I would like to see the mini jungle again and also the rest of the museum because when I was there I was not able to see everything that they had to offer.

Out of all the museums I’ve visited my favorite has been The Ringling Museum of Art. I loved the art there, all of the exhibits were beautiful. My favorite part of the museum was the rose garden they had outside. It had so many different roses, it was a stunning view. My favorite rose at this garden was the sunlit rose. It was a gold color at the bottom and the turned pink when the gold hit the petals. I also loved the miniature circus that was set up at one of the exhibits. It was so cool, every few minutes the lights would dim and it would be night at the circus, and then the people in the circus would move. This museum was also filled with beautiful paintings and sculptures. These were memorable for their beauty. I would totally spend the night here if everything came to life because I think that would be a fun memorable experience. Plus, if I ever wanted to be an author I would already have an idea for a book.

We only had forty five minutes to go through the whole museum. It was the last exhibit I went to before the lady announced it was time to leave. We were in Pensacola, Florida when we decided to go to the National Naval Aviation Museum where there were hundreds of planes and helicopters on display. I was most interested in the one exhibit called, The Raft. It is based off the three soldiers who were stuck out at sea for thirty-four days in WW II. They had almost no supplies and had to scratched a tally on to the raft to keep track of all the days they were at sea. I got to see the actual raft and could have even touched it. Some girls think the idea is disturbing but I think it is very interesting that three men could survive for thirty-four days at sea during WW II. One of the three men wrote about their experience in a book titled, The Raft. I only had time to read a little of the exhibit before I was ushered out the door and would like to go back to read the article again. I also only saw a quarter of the museum and would enjoy going back to visit it again.
I would under no circumstances spend a night at the museum. There are many exhibits that could scare someone in the dark. It also is a very large museum and would be difficult to find your way around it in the dark. Though it might be fun to climb into one of the plains and spend the night but there would just be too many scary thing to wake up to. I am happy lifeboats have improved over the last few years or else anyone stuck out at sea would have to be eating raw seagull. Ick!
I remember going to the ringling museum of art. I really liked the little circus to was so fun to watch the little people walk around and the train Carying all the little animal. I am. Pretty sher that they had little old fashion car that would drive around and the showed tents and really love the little people they where so cute . I would like to spend the night there because they also had a rose grand and I would like to see that at night and sleep right in the middle of the gradan. That is what I like about the ringling museum.
The coolest thing I saw was the St. Augustine LightHouse. It is located in no other then
St. Augustine. I visited in fourth grade. It was really cool! It had white and red swirls going all the way around the building and on the top was the light of coarse. The first thing I noticed when I was in front of the lighthouse was the sign that said “ beware for wasps “ at the time I was really scared because I hate wasps but soon I would realize that it would be all worth it. When we got inside there was maybe two or three rooms, containing two bedrooms and a kitchen. Me and my parents climbed all the way to the top… it was a really long stair case! One of the longest stair cases i have ever been up. but when we finally got there the view was amazing! you could see everything! it was so amazing.
If it was me i would never spend the night because there is told to be a ghost and i would rather not be woken up but a ghost. That is my tour of the St. Augustine Lighthouse.

I would like to spend the night at the Ringling museum in Sarasota, Florida It would be cool to see all of the mini people come to life and start talking that would be awesome. I would love to go there again.
The coolest thing I have seen in a museum is The Crown Jewels. The museum is located in London, England in the Tower of London. I would love to go back to the Tower of London. It was amazing walking around the museum, because I got to see a lot of interesting things such as old weapons and armour. I even got to see Henry the Eighth’s armour. The Tower of London is not just a museum, it is a palace/fortress. I would like to sleepover in the hallway that the Crown Jewels are located, because the Crown Jewels are guarded by a heavy metal door and guards in front of the doors. I would feel really safe. In the hall that the Crown Jewels are located there is a conveyor belt that you stand on and it moves you past the jewels slowly. There are a lot of big diamonds, rubies and other gems.
There is another museum that I absolutely loved, which was in Windsor Castle. Windsor Castle is also in England. The thing I liked about it was the dollhouse which Mrs. Cobb has posted about. I thought that the dollhouse was amazing because it was so big and it had working lights and water. The dollhouse really caught my eye. I was amazed of how much time the craftsmen put into the dollhouse. There were even pieces of art all around inside the dollhouse. The garden was the most interesting to me, because I thought it was crazy how real it looked. The garden had so much texture and small little gardening tools to go with it. After telling you all about the dollhouse, I would think you would want to live in it. I would.

Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House is so awesome! It is really a creative idea. I clicked on the link that you posted, and I was able to see each room! I loved this because I absolutely LOVE miniature items. This house seems like it took a lot of time and hard work, but in the end it really paid off!
The Museum of Natural History in New York was the most exciting museum I’ve ever been to! In the gigantic museum there were many exhibits. If I had to choose my favorite attraction I would have to pick the space exhibit because I’m really into space science. In the space section there was an actual spaceship! We were even allowed to venture inside. The spaceship was HUGE. When the bright light blasted on in the front window, and when sound effects went off, the shuttle seemed like it was ready for take off. There were so many buttons too! A little farther behind the spaceship was a spiral staircase. Every few meters down, you found a sign that marked the cosmic history, achievements, and discoveries in that year. I was really amazed by the entire museum too! If I got the opportunity to visit this fascinating museum again I definitely would! I learned so much from my exciting experience. If I could spend the night in the museum I would love it because when I went with my family, our guide told us that at night there was a special robotic system that was on the ceiling. At night I would be able to gaze up at the ceiling and watch the plastic planets orbit the sun.

The coolest thing I’ve ever seen in a museum would be The Center of Earth and Space in the American Natural History Museum in New York City. The exhibit was made up of models of the planets and at every planet model there was a scale in the ground that you could step on to show how much you weighed on each planet. The other aspect of the exhibit was that you got to see how far away the planets were from earth and the sun.
This exhibit always made a big impression on me because it showed how big the universe is. It answered questions like what’s beyond earth? Is this the only planet we could live on? The museum and models taught me about all the other planets and how big the sun was. It made me realize how much more there is to the galaxy than our planet Earth.
The Natural History Museum is the museum I want to revisit the most because there were so many other cool exhibits like Dinosaurs, the Blue Whale, and Mummies. I never got bored there. Although I enjoyed the museum I would not enjoy spending the night there. The main reason for me would be that I would mess something up. Maybe poke a model and it would crash or fall on the floor and break a dinosaur model. The American Natural History museum is a must see in the largest populated city in the nation.

When I heard we were going to the museum I was not happy. Who would want to go to a museum on a perfectly good Saturday? What I was really unhappy with was that we had to drive all the way to Tampa, Florida. When I slowly stepped into MOSI, I was totally grossed out. There were a bunch of body parts with descriptions below them. My mom made me keep going, but when I walked around the corner I saw something very interesting. On the right there were black lungs, and on the left there were normal colored lungs. I glanced down at the descriptions, and the one for the black ones said that this is what happens when you start smoking. Then I peered at the description for the normal colored ones, and it said this is what your lungs look like when you don’t smoke. I realized how awful it is to smoke and I promised myself I would never smoke.
The coolest thing I saw in a museum was in the Museum of Science and Industry located in Chicago, Illinois. The thing was in the Science Storms section. The thing was a 40 foot tall vortex of swirling vapor coming from the floor also known as the tornado. I thought it was cool because you could control how big it got and you could make lasers go through it to show the airflow patterns. I would like to stay the night here because there are so many things to play around with.
If I could go back to another museum it would be the Dali Museum because I think the art is so unique and beautiful. I would not want to stay the night there though because there is not very much to do in the dark with a whole bunch of paintings.

There was this one amazing time in fourth grade. My whole class went on a field trip to St. Augustine, it was so much fun. Then when my grade left, my dad and brother came down to spend time with us while we were there. Thats when we went to “Potters Wax Museum”. This place is the absolute best museum I have ever been to in my life. When you walk by it you just see a couple wax heads with every single detail, it even had hair! Then when we first walked in, I saw a wax sculpture of Tiger Woods with a wax golf club and everything.Then when you walk in a little farther, you will see a long hallway with a bunch of doors, and on each door it will say a category like scary, presidents, athletes, famous singers, famous people, or my favorite, book characters. When I went into the book characters room, I was amazed. They had everything, like you could just think of a book and the characters would be there, like Perseus, zeus and the lightning bolt from “Percy Jackson and the Olympians”. And then when I walked through that room a little more I saw something amazing, standing there was Harry, Ron, Hermione, and under them there was someone shorter than me, it was dobby! I hope that if you ever go to St. Augustine and you find this museum, you will go to it because it is the best place ever!

The coolest thing I’ve ever seen in a museum was at The Prado Museum in Madrid,Spain. There you can see some of the most famous paintings by famous artists, like Diego Velazquez, Francisco Goya, and El Greco. Whats cool about this museum is that it only has actual paintings, it owns no copies. They have many great paintings there, but the reason The Prado is famous all around Europe is, because of Las Meninas, by Diego Velazquez. The trick to it is that it’s sort of a mystery whether the painter in the painting is painting you or himself. I really like The Prado, and next time your in Spain go to The Prado Museum.
My favorite museum that I have been to is the Museum of Natural History in New York because it is amazing. There are a lot of exhibits in this museum but my favorite exhibit is the exhibit of the sea animals. This exhibit has lots of statues of sea animals, such as squids, sharks, fish, otters, seals, and jelly fish. I learned a lot about sea life because I was able to see what their habitats looked like. I would spend the night at this museum because the room looks like the ocean and I would have a good night sleep. I would love to fall asleep loking at the animals and the lights.
The coolest thing that I have ever seen in a museum was the see threw mirror. When I first walked threw the Ripley’s believe it or not museum in Orlando it was so amazing what was there. The coolest and funniest thing I’ve ever seen was the see threw mirror in the Ripley’s believe it or not museum. On one side of the mirror there was a picture or a guy doing this weird thing with his tong. It said to try to do what he did in the picture with your tong. A lot of people tried to do it but they couldn’t. The funny thing was that on the other side of the mirror people on the other side of the wall could see you trying to do the tong trick. On the other side of the mirror you don’t know that people are watching you. I would like to go to this museum again so I can see everything there, and be amazed and laughed at again too. I would love to spend the night in that museum because there is so much to do there and you will never stop having fun.

The train cart was used for to bring Jews to their camps and torture them, which is sad. Also like the museum. Also, the holocaust museum to me thought me a lot about the holocaust and was very interesting. Lastly, this museum is located in down town Saint Petersburg.

One hundred eighty-four feet long, a liftoff weight of 4.5 million pounds, a wingspan of 78 feet, and it was standing right in front of me. The space shuttle, Enterprise, was huge! I was at the Intrepid Museum in New York, New York. The Intrepid isn’t your normal museum, it is an aircraft carrier and was used in many wars like World War II. Ever since I was six, I was always interested in the sea and space, so the space shuttle and the battleship really intrigued me. I’ve never really had an interest in war, but seeing what it was like on Intrepid was an awesome experience. The vessel was hit by five kamikaze attacks by the Japanese, and was nicknamed the “Ghost Ship” because she survived for so long. As a bonus I got to meet a tour guide who was a real pilot when the boat was on active duty. Intrepid Museum now houses all types of aircraft, a submarine, and the Space Shuttle Pavilion, where Enterprise is kept. Even though Enterprise has never actually been in space it was still fascinating. It was equipped with heat shields, landing gear, and a tail used to increase the arrow dynamic shape of the shuttle. I was literally nose to nose with Enterprise, and it’s nose was giant. Imagine an airplane cockpit and then times it by fifteen, that is about how the shuttle’s nose was. It was impossible to see inside the cockpit but I bet it was all controls with very little leg room for the pilots. I would definitely like to go again and again to this museum because I went for three hours and didn’t even get to see every exhibit. I would also like to spend the night there because it would be really cool to see the boat and all of the planes in action. The Intrepid Museum is spectacular and if you are ever in New York I highly recommend going to see it.
I remeber that once I went and saw a submarien from the revolutionary war. It was spectaculer and they had to have a special rig so that it wont break. It was all rusted and dirty but it is the only submarine left from the revolutinary war.
