Describe Your Perfect Playground

Hi Students!

Let your wonderful imaginations run wild! If you were given the chance to design the perfect playground what would it be? Since you cannot draw it out on this blog, draw it out in your mind: describe what your perfect playground would be like. What would be in it? First, pick a theme and go from there. A theme is an overall idea. For example: Will this playground have a space theme? A fairytale theme? Etc. Then all the elements you put into your playground would be based around that theme.

Be creative and inventive and use those strong verbs and vivid adjectives. We should all have a picture painted in our minds of what your playground should look like after reading your paragraph.

The playground should be somewhat realistic!

My Perfect playground would be in Florida. It would have a circus theme. There would be tightropes, big balloons, beach balls, and circus animals in cages .There will be a big slide in the middle. It will go all around the play ground! There would be a stand to get nuts, cotton candy, drinks, and icecream! There will also be stands for adults to sit in and watch their kids. People would come from all around the world to come to the “Circus Playground”! :)

My perfect playground would be all outside because its completely based on water. There is so much that you can do in this park, like zip lining from a huge mountain into the water, a huge blow up water slide that you can also go down, three platforms that you can jump off of, a diving board, you can also go tubing on a big mechanical arm that pulls you around until you fall off, and last but definitely not least my favorite part of the whole entire park, the resting part of the playground. This is a huge raft and when I say huge it is huge, like the size of school bus that everyone gets for there self if they want it. And the best part of the raft is that it is free! your waiter can take you out as far out as you want to go on it and on this raft your waiter has a big table on it that he can make whatever you want him to make, like I would ask him to get me a cold glass of water if it was a very hot day.

My perfect playground would be an underwater playground called “Atlantis” where everything is under water! You must go to your nearest store and buy our all new water suits! They are like the help of scuba gear, but the pleasure of a bathing suit! My playground would have underwater roller coasters and a dry area to hang out in. it would be open to the public 24/7! It would be a great place to have a splash!

my perfect idea of a playground would be a hippie theme. there would be built in yoga mats, tie dye tunnles and slides, and there would be a grovey van that would be big enough to hold six people. the van would move like a normal van and they will drive like a normal van buton tracks and kids could drive their own car and learn about the red, yellow, and green lights, the stop signs and more!

My perfect playground would have video game theme. It would be indoors. It would be really big and every where you go there are game consoles. There are different areas with different genres of games. You can even go on a zip line that is one mile long and play video games on a tv right in front of you. there would be room which you can watch any video or movie in 3d. Only kids that are eleven to thirteen year old kids are only alowed. I will not show this to the public because if I did there would be to many kids there and wouldn’t be as fun. There wil be a food court where you can eat anything you want to from a simple slice of pizza to a three course meal. Parents are not allowed to come but they can shop at the mall next door. Everybody has there own butler at all times and they ca ask him or her for anything they want or want to do. You can always chose what type of tv you want it could be 3D, HD, or even 4D. There are bridges that connect from one place to another game really easily. This place would not be like many other playgrounds at all. It is unique in it’s on way. all the kids would have a lot of fun. I would name it “Casa de Games”.

    • Saif says:

The whole place would have red, black, and blue colors every where. It would have game controllers as a theme everywhere. Considering to the type of genre the room is, it would be designed so it feels, and looks the same, for example if it were a gun game then there would be fake guns on the walls and it would be painted in camouflage colors.

If I designed my perfect playground, it would be a sports themed wonderland. You would enter “The Sports Arena” through a giant orange basketball hoop. You would walk on to the first area which would be hardwood floors with two hoops at each end so that four teams could play at the same time. As you continue walking, you would next see yellow climbing ropes coming from the trees which were made up entirely of tennis balls. The tennis balls would be removable so that you use them, and start hitting with a friend on the beautiful green clay courts. Off to the side is a neon yellow seesaw with seats made of Wlison tennis racquets. Moving along, you would see the gymnastics area, with its three enormous foam pits filled to the top with purple foam blocks. There are vaults, uneven bars, spring flooring, and numerous balance beams to practice on. A zipline made of gymnastics leotards hangs overhead, inviting children to come play on it. The baseball area is next on the way, and has batting cages full of pitching machines and bats of all weights and sizes. When you are up to bat, if you get a hit, you take a slide to move from base to base. The bases are made of gooey marshmallows, and the field is made of graham crackers so you can have a snack between innings . And last but not least is the dance area, which is easy to spot with its bright neon pink lights. The swings are in the shape of pointe shoes, and are different sizes so chlidren of all ages can come and swing. In bewteen trees, there are pale pink ballet bars where you can practice and perfect all your dance moves. Music fills the air, and provides a relaxing and fun setting for all to enjoy my dream playground!

  7. Carlos says:

My perfect playground’s theme would be sort of a climbing arena. You would walk in to my playground, and be amazed, because on all four sides there would be rock climbing walls. Also in the middle there would be a triangle shaped pyramid that you would be able to climb. You wouldn’t have to be worried about it being crowded, because the playground in size would be one acre. Parents wouldn’t have to worry about their children getting hurt, because the floor would be equipped with a three inch padding. It would also be open 24/7, and an amazing place to have a great time with friends!

  8. Delaney says:

I think the perfect theme for a playground would be an ice wonderland. Imagine a place where you could ice skate through secret passage ways or hide out in caves that look like igloos. You could throw snowballs, play hockey, go sledding or even go ice fishing. For one hour a day the workers will have disco skating competitions. The ice will turn different colors and fun music will be played. Whoever has the best routine will win a gigantic, fruity flavored snow cone. When it’s time to go home you will be served a hot chocolate with large vanilla marshmellows to warm you up. Every day spent here would be so much fun!

    • Taylor McC says:

That sounds like a really cool idea, what a great idea because you love to ice skate and it’s an ice theme. Great idea!

  9. Austin says:

My idea of a perfect playground is having it be an all-sports park. There would be the very first black football field with a special neon yellow football so kids can play into the night. There would also be a basketball court with a scoreboard that can tell you what the score is in the game that is happening, but also there is a section of the scoreboard that shows you all of the NBA scores. A baseball field with lights and also 100,000 seats would be an amazing playground. But hold it right there! There is a river of CHOCOLATE that you can swim down with a diving board that plunges you into a pool of whipped cream. There is an all you can eat ice cream stand for FREE! This is the PERFECT playground for me.

Imagine a tropical rain forest filled with all kinds of adventurous things. First you swing like Tarzan at the hanging vines station and the best part is you will be swinging with brightly colored parrots that are talking to you! When you have landed on the platform and finished acting like a monkey you will go to the zip lining station where you go directly through the dark cave. But at the end of the cave is a shiny waterfall that you go directly through! Then when you are done with zip lining you will go the rock wall climbing station. But don’t worry  there will be a giant trampoline supporting you so you won’t die. When you climb up to the top of the rock wall there is the worlds biggest water slide. You will slide down into the water of beautiful blue and green colors of Lake Do What You Want! You don’t have to hold your breath because you will be in an underwater tunnel and the glass is foot thick so you won’t drown. You will experience beautiful colorful fish. When you are done with that you will go out of the exit to see your parents.

My perfect playground idea would be a beach theme playground with a gymnastics pad, volleyball court, and water for surfing and swimming. I choose the beach because I love hearing people blasting there music and everyone doing there own thing. I understand some people want to relax when their at recess when other people want to play a game so people could relax and enjoy the sun or go skateboarding or jogging on the sand or sidewalk. At night things would have to calm down and people could go horseback riding in the sand near the water or go on a carriage ride and tiki shops and bonfires would start. Even though I’m not in to s’mores people could also cook marshmallow and on every friday we have a hawaiian luau with the big masks, lots of fire pits, lays, grass skirts. The two things that get on my nerves about the beach are sand and sunscreen. Sand gets in your eyes, shoes, and…Everywhere and it gets annoying. Sun screen is wet, stick, and thick so you look like a vampire or it dries or you feel all crusty and weird almost like a dried piece of pottery. So I would get rid of the sand and put more of a cotton feeling sand so it wouldn’t be irritating and the entire playground would be shielded by like a giant sunglasses lens so there would be no need for sunscreen. This idea might not be for everyone but it would be a great place to relax and have fun, for everyone!

My dream playground would be just like “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”.You would walk through the entrance and then fall onto a slide made of chocolate the sauce. Next you would land on a pile of jello and bounce like it was a trampoline. Then, it would open up and reveal a large ball pit made of jawbreakers. You would get to hunt for the key to open the door to get out, only to find that there was a chocolate milky way that you had to swim through. After that you would have to climb a licorice rope to get to a Jolly Rancher elevator to the end. I hope that other kids would enjoy this playground as much as I think they would!

    • Taylor McC says:

This playground sounds like SO much fun. I love candy. If this were a real playground I would be so excited to play in all that candy!

Of course there is no way someone could see the whole United States in one day. With my playground, you can come pretty close! My playground would be United States themed. The rubber ground would be in the shape of the U.S.A. Each state would be a different color, and outlining them would be their state flower or tree. All 50 states would have their some mini attractions. Florida would have a waterside that empties into an alligator shaped pool, and a sand box to play in. New York would be decorated with giant cartoon skyscrapers that you could go into, and a talking Statue of Liberty that said facts about New York. Hawaii would have a tiny beach. Many northern states would have fake snow and maybe even a ice rink! Don’t worry, my playground would also be educational. Each state would have a way for you to learn some facts about them.In Washington,D.C, a much smaller version of the Lincoln Memorial could be talking about Washington, D.C, and even be making hand gestures. The possibilities for my playground are endless!

NETS! would be the theme of my perfectly designed playground! Most of the sports I enjoy involve nets of one kind or another. My playground would be in the shape of a spiderweb. In the center of the web, I would have climbing nets that would lead to a platform 50 feet in the air! Once at the top, you could parachute off of the platform into brightly colored ball pits below. There would also be long, curvy slides to enjoy. What a blast to do this over and over again! On the perimeter of the spider web, I would design areas for sports that utilize nets. Soccer, baseball batting cages, basketball, ping pong, and tennis are some of my ideas. I think it would be fun to zipline along the web from one activity to another. This is my idea of a perfect playground, and I would love to see it realized!

Welcome to Wacky Wiggles Wonderful World! Your adventure begins on one of two trampolines which bungee jump you to the top. On the highest level, we have a leash zipline with paw print seats. There is a bowling alley with dog faced balls. On the level below, we have a shelter and a water bowl pool with a shallow pool so if you want to bring your dog with you. On the next level, we have monkey bars that have dog bone shaped bars. We also have a dog tail slide. On the final level, we have frisbee seat swings and a paw print rock wall to the top. We have lots of dogs to accompany you around the playground. This is a perfect playground for children and can even be fun for adults, too. My favorite thing on my playground is the water bowl pool and the dog tail slide.

My perfect playground would be an exciting snowy mountain with lots of fun and adventurous activities. Naturally, it would be cold out and there would always be the perfect amount of real snow. The center of the playground would be a giant snow covered mountain. The mountain would be the ideal place to go skiing and snow boarding. There would be easy slopes for beginners and extreme downhills for experts. I would have areas designated to a slalom race track, freestyle jump competition, as well as many terrain parks. In the front of the mountain, there would be an expansive snowball battlefield- the perfect place for the ultimate snowball fight.  Here kids can build snow forts and battle each other.  A magnificent ice structure on the west side of the mountain is a great place for ice/rock climbing. On the east side of the mountain, a high speed zip-lining course rockets kids from outpost to outpost. Restaurants at the peak and base of the mountain would serve hot chocolate and yummy treats for when kids need a break from the snow.  Don’t forget to wear your hats and long under wear because you will not want to miss the fun at my amazing snow mountain playground!

Imagine going through the jungle hearing the sounds of wildlife. There are many different species of plants and trees that are different shades of green. There are many different types of animals all around. That would be a perfect theme for a perfect playground. You could swim in the natural cool river were a waterfall leads into it. You can crawl through logs tunnels and go down water slides that lead to the pool. You can zipline through the tops of the trees enjoying nature and the things surrounding you. If you are brave, you could try to climb the tall trees and take a nap on the thick branches. You can also simply run around and enjoy the the flowers and fresh air. The coolest part of the whole playground would be swinging around on the vines from tree to tree. The playground would be open at no cost 24/7. That means you can even come at night! I would love to see this playground in real life!

My prefect playground would be a big sail boat . Think to would be cool to have it the sail boat because I love to sail. I would have a big slide going down the mast and when you end you would land on a bed. The on the other side of the mast there would be a fire pool. Then the swings would be under the deck and would be really big. On the top of the mast there would be a zip line going down to the front of the boat. Where the sail would be tere would be a rope lader. That would be my prefect playground.

The perfect playground for me would be Finding Nemo themed. Imagine, you would go through a tunnel, and all around you there is sea life. Sometimes, you might be able to see a scuba diver feeding them! You would also have a scavenger hunt to find Nemo – go throughout the vast playground and try to find him. All around the playground are different structures of sea animals. Kids can climb on the structures and watch that clip of the movie. There would also be facts about that animal. You could be best friends with Bruce, Dory, Crush, Peach, Marlin, and once you find him – Nemo! I think this playground would be very popular, and I would love it!

  20. Hunter says:

My perfect playground would be totally sports themed. I could have a slide 100 feet in the air and have a machine throw a football at you as you slide down it and you have to try and catch it. I could have a basketball court with trampolines in front of the baskets to try and do slam dunks. I could have batting cages and a mini ice rink to practice slap shots against a goalie. This is my dream of a perfect playground and hopefully one day it will come true!

  21. Sophie says:

If I were to build a playground it would have a rock climbing theme because I like to do rock climbing. It’s good for you and it’s fun. There would be a huge rock wall that would be twenty feet by twenty feet. It would have large holds and small holds for all different levels. Underneath would be a trampoline so if you fell you would just bounce back up. At the top of the rock wall would be a big yellow slide to slide safely down. Across from the rock wall there would be a rickety old bridge connecting to an even bigger rock wall. When you climb it feels like you’re flying because you go up so high. Also the wall would have rows and rows of monkey bars that go up, down, and across. The bars would strengthen your arms for rock climbing. Climbers also do slacklining or tight rope walking for balance, so the playground would have a slackline. Slacklining is something fun that all kids can do. For safety the slackline would have a foam pit underneath it. The playground would be colorful and bright so all kids would love it. This would be a dream playground for me.

  22. Noah says:

The perfect playground for me would be an obstacle course. The obstacle course could be rearranged and different things added according to your imagination. It would be in a forest with lots of tall trees around. There would be three different courses. One would be a ziplining course where you have to go through a bunch of challenges like walking on logs when you’re on a zipline. The second course would be hard to complete and tiring. You would have to climb up a ladder and then ride down a slide on to a pair of monkey bars then climb up another ladder and slide down and touch a button to end the timer. The third course would would be a trampoline course. You would have to jump through targets and shoot baskets to complete the course. Finally there would be a place just to hang out and have fun. There would be trampolines, and computers.

  23. Benjamin B says:

My perfect playground would start off on a cliff, and not just any cliff, a cliff with a zip-line, and to get to the playground, I would have to zip all the way across a 1000 foot deep valley for a duration of 3 1/2 minutes. Once I got across the valley, I would see a fancy chair. I would hop into the fancy chair and safety bars would fall on me, and before I knew what was going on, me and the chair would shoot off like a rocket over the rivers, valleys, and mountains. You are sitting in the chair enjoying the view, while freaking out a little bit because I have no idea what is happening. Then suddenly, I start to fall, down, down, down…. And I am scared out of your mind because I am about to hit the ground, when suddenly I repel off of the ground and do a stomach-churning loop. Now I know whats going on. I am on a roller coaster. Now, I go on for another minute or so doing loops, turns, corkscrews, and drops before the roller coaster comes to a sudden stop. This story was about a playground, right? And you are wondering why I’m telling you about a zip-line and a crazy roller coaster.

Well, as I un fasten myself and look around, I would see that I am in a square shaped room with 3×6 black rectangles covering the ceiling, walls, and floor of the room. The room can’t be much bigger than a classroom. I hear an electronic voice saying “What is your vision of a perfect playground? Don’t tell me. Just close your eyes think it. My name is Steve.” Well, I am scared because I am in a dark room with a weird voice talking to me, but I just keep calm and follow Steve’s directions. I imagine a place with luscious, green grass, with families on the grass with their children running around playing tag. I imagine parents of the kids on the bench, reading a book or talking to their friends. I imagine toddlers on the swing set being pushed by their parents, all of them giggling. I imagine families sitting on the grass, eating picnics. Now, thats the stuff I would normally see on a playground, but here are the really cool stuff that I imagined. I imagine a game of outdoor laser tag, with no gigantic line to wait in to play. I imagine a baseball field filled with equipment to play and 17 other kids waiting for you to play ball with them. 8 kids on your team waiting for me, and 9 kids on the other team waiting eagerly to play a friendly game of baseball. I imagine a mechanical bull, put on the setting of “Jackhammer”, and kids daring each other to go ahead and try it. I see the zip-line and the roller coaster that I came to this strange place in, but the roller coaster is even better. At one point in the roller coaster, I stop, and I think that the ride is over, but I get a sudden push and off of the tracks and I go free falling. My chair lands on a giant trampoline, and the safety buckles become un-fastened, and I go shooting up into the air, and land safely on top of a mountain, with the little help of a parachute to make your fall safe.

I snap back into reality when I hear Steve’s voice, “Enjoy. You may now open your eyes.” I open my eyes, and I see that I am standing in the exact place that I imagined, down to the very last shard of grass. I think that this is a dream, so I pinch myself. It hurts, so I know that this is all real. After a while of looking at this haven in awe, I decide to go have fun here. And of course, I run straight to the totally awesome roller coaster.

After having a long time of pure fun, I have some questions to ask, “Steve, are you there?”
“Yes?” Steve’s voiced boomed from above.
    “Who are you?”
“I am Steve. Formally known as Mr. Jobs.”
“You’re Steve Jobs?” I asked, astonished.
“Yes. This is my latest invention. I call it the iMagination. In no way is this fake, but I have discovered a way to turn human imagination into reality. You can come back here any time you would like.”
“Thank you so much, Mr. Jobs!”
    “I’m glad I could help.”

And that is the story of imagination.

    [Sorry that this is late]
